I will be starting my third year as a student at the University of Denver studying Art, Spanish, and Education. This upcoming semester will be something to write about as I travel to study abroad in the city of Santiago. I will spend the next four months in the Dominican Republic living with a host family and attending Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) affiliated with the CIEE study abroad progam. At PUCMM I hope to continue my Spanish education and begin TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) training as well as take art electives on the side. During my time in the Dominican Republic I also hope to take advantage of volunteering opportunities as well as have fun, travel and learn about the island!
